ASRock has launched the X600TM-ITX, the world’s first Thin Mini-ITX motherboard that supports the AMD AM5 socket, allowing it to be paired with the latest AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors. The Thin Mini-ITX form factor means its I/O height is just 25 mm.

For comparison, standard Mini-ITX motherboards have I/O port heights of around 44 mm. Another difference with the ASRock X600TM-ITX is its use of SODIMM RAM (dual DDR5 6400, up to 96GB) and onboard power supply support, eliminating the need for a separate ITX power supply.
Naturally, the ultra-thin design sacrifices some features, such as the absence of a PCIe slot, so you can’t add a discrete GPU. Therefore, the Thin Mini-ITX motherboard may not be suitable for those looking to build a compact PC for heavy AAA gaming.
ASRock designed the X600TM-ITX for HTPC (Home Theater PC) use, a segment that has been overlooked recently with the rise of pre-built Mini-PCs. Nevertheless, this motherboard offers greater flexibility in choosing processors and memory compared to Mini-PCs, especially for long-term upgrades.
Other specifications include support for four storage slots with 2x M.2 slots and 2x SATA 6GB slots. Video output options include two HDMI ports, DisplayPort, and LVDS, while connectivity features include 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, and 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1.
ASRock has not yet disclosed the price and availability, but they have confirmed that there will be several different variants released.
